Dr. Elizabeth Miller joined WUA in 2008. She completed her residency in urology at University of Washington in 2000, and her fellowship in reconstructive urology, female urology, and urodynamics in 2001 at Duke University Hospital Medical Center.

She is board certified in urology (since 2003) and female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery (FPMRS) (since 2013). Her clinical interests include treating men and women with incontinence, female pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain such as pelvic floor dysfunction and interstitial cystitis, and recurrent urinary tract infections. She also treats common urologic conditions such as kidney stones and bladder cancer. Since her fellowship, she has had a passion for treating patients with neurogenic bladder. She works with local neurologist to care for patients with spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, strokes, and other conditions affecting the nervous system as it relates to the urinary tract.

Dr. Miller helped to establish the Urogynecology Program while she was at the University of Washington. She has also been the leader in developing the Urogynecology Section at WUA, which includes herself and her partner Dr. Arendt (Gynecologist/FPMRS) and Dr. McKenzie NP. She works closely with colorectal surgeons, and physical therapists in the area to provide complete pelvic health care to her patients. She is passionate about treating her patients as individuals, and understanding their urogynecologic or urologic problems as they may relate to other physical or mental conditions in order to best treat her patients. She collaborates regularly with other specialists and primary care physicians to streamline patient care. She has been recognized by SeattleMet as “Top Doc” in her field in 2015, 2016, 2017, and received the UWMC Service of Excellence Award while at the University of Washington in 2006. She established the Women’s Continence Program at Overlake in 2008, and participates regularly in The Overlake Community Health Talk “Don’t Make Me Laugh” that she started in 2008, and which she has since grown to include multiple women’s health specialists.

Dr. Miller is a leader in the community, participating in both the National Charity League, and National League of Young Men with her three children. She volunteers in the community as part of this service. She serves on her child’s PTSA board and is active in her local schools on Mercer Island. In her free time she enjoys relaxing with her family, attending multiple sporting events that her children are involved in, including baseball, basketball, football and swimming. She also enjoys swimming, morning runs and fitness classes, and snow skiing. She regularly participates in the Swim Across America Event to raise money for cancer research.
